Davenport is going through some tough times presently:
- Spending - Where is all the money coming from;
- Administration - Can we work together, please;
- Gangs - Should we raise the bail required to get out of jail and the fines once one is found guilty;
- Violence - What is the root cause, what is the precipitating factor that is bringing this about;
- Bullying in the schools - I have a way to reduce this so that our children can safely and
happily go to school;
- Drugs and Crime - Is there a way to control this or are we at the mercy of the perpetrators; and,
- The Cameras - If they are illegal, why are we using them - if the law is written correctly to address this, we do need a deterrent to reduce the red light running, the auto accidents and the bodily injuries that result, the lost time from work, the medical expences and the loss of health of everyone involved goes through - I see red light running daily.
- Enhance the River Front - If we could get more money (not from your pocket) from State, Federal and gambling to enhance and beautify the area of LeClaire Park, would you come down and enjoy the sights? Think of it, you could spend part of the day walking, strolling and riding bikes through this area; visit with friends and have family activities downtown, on the river front; you could bring a lunch or buy food from a vender.
What do you think? How would you promote social activity, family and community downtown? What amenities would you strive for to slow a little, maybe even pause in your routine? ... breathe in the community spirits? ... rest and come alive again?
Let's have Neighborhood Outings where we play a game of softball together; ride the bike paths together, have a Ward night at John O'Donnell Stadium together, sail or motor on the river together, walk our neighborhoods together, and ....
Let's discuss ways to Enliven Davenport.

What About The West End?
Let's expand Davenport's land base for businesses wanting to move here, and for residents wanting to move further west. Let's start preparing for the future by adding sewer and water lines westerly toward the I-280 corridor.
What do you think? If we can move Businesses to our community, who do you know that might want to move to Davenport?
